About the Retreat

A grounding pause at the turn of the season

The Autumn Equinox marks the moment when day and night are equal — a natural threshold between the light half and the dark half of the year. This intimate half-day retreat at Flamingo Falls is designed to honour that shift: to slow down, release what summer has asked of you, and move into autumn with intention.

Set within a secret sub-tropical botanical garden in Mobberley, Cheshire, the day moves gently through flowing yoga and a restorative yin practice led by yoga teacher Clare Broomhead, a slow mindful walk through the grounds as they turn golden, and a quiet space for reflection. Niki Charnock leads a practical nutritional talk on autumn immune support, gut health, and how to eat seasonally to keep energy strong through the colder months. Wholesome seasonal snacks are provided throughout.

Whether you've been to a retreat before or this is your first time, this is a welcoming, grounding experience for anyone who needs to press pause and step into the new season with clarity.

“Niki's passion and enthusiasm is infectious — her patience in answering any question is endless. Everything we learned was accessible and simple to continue at home.”

— Jayne G., Wellness Retreat Guest, 2025
